About Me…

Music has played a starring role in my life from a very early age. I was born and raised in Richmond, Indiana where my father was a church music leader (and currently teaches choir in the Richmond schools). His piano playing and singing filled my home as a child. In high school, I developed a love for classical music and soon began taking piano lessons. I went on to study music theory and composition, as well as piano performance at Indiana University East.

Following my time at IU East, I had many adventures and lived in several cities across the United States, the last of which was Nashville, Tennessee where I began my journey into piano technology.

I joined the Piano Technicians Guild, where I was introduced to Jon Loyd, RPT. I learned the tools and tricks of the trade and gained invaluable hands-on experience as his apprentice. With his training, I was able to pass the rigorous technical and tuning exams necessary to becoming a Registered Piano Technician.

I now reside in Richmond, Indiana with my wife and two sons. It’s good to be back home and I look forward to helping you get the best out of your piano!
